Confirmation

RCIA/Adult Confirmation

RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION

RCIA is a process through which unbaptized men and women, and unbaptized children who have reached the age of reason (seven years old), enter the Catholic Church. It includes several stages marked by a deepening relationship with God through the study of scripture, prayer, sacraments, the Mass, Mary and the saints, and the teachings and beliefs of the Catholic Church. Those who have already been baptized (in the Catholic faith or in another faith denomination) but have not received the sacraments of First Eucharist and Confirmation, may also participate in the process.

ADULT CONFIRMATION

The Adult Confirmation Program is a formation process for those adults who were baptized into the Catholic Church and have received their First Communion and reconciliation, who would now like to proceed toward the reception of the sacrament of confirmation.

If you or someone you know is interested in either RCIA or Adult Confirmation please contact Peggy Lanser, Adult and Family Ministry Coordinator at 262-922-9285 ext. 2302 or planser@ccwauk.org or click the following button:

Youth Confirmation

Confirmation is one of the seven Sacraments of our Catholic Faith. In the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, preparation for confirmation takes place during junior year of high school, and celebration of the sacrament takes place in the spring.

Orientation for Confirmation takes place in the spring of the sophomore year, and programming begins in early fall. Our program includes the catechetical elements of Community, Worship, Service, and personal discernment. Through small and large group sessions, we help young people grow in, and discern their faith.

Please note: Prior to preparing to receive the sacrament of confirmation, teens are expected to participate in two years of high school faith formation.
